I love a designer bag, but then I don’t suppose there are many women who would turn one down. The hardest decision is choosing which designer is your favourite. I recently was alerted to a website called Avenue 32 and they sell all of the things us women love… clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery… it’s basically a one-stop-shop for all the things you’d love to receive as a gift or wished you had room in your closet for. Can a woman have too many statement clutch bags? I’d at least like to try and argue that she can’t.

The website itself is actually really good. The editor’s notes and product descriptions are really well-written and helpful and I also love that they style up each bag with an outfit to show the customer how to wear it, or at least provide some inspiration.

I’ve picked out five of my favourite luxury bags at Avenue 32 below to provide a little handbag temptation…

Every woman should own a fabulous tan bag as well as a great pair of tan boots, it’s just a style essential. Giving this bag extra style points though is the black leather and chain handle (which is removable by the way). I also love the unusual clasp and tactile, textured calf leather finish.
I love a great black bag but they don’t have to be boring as this one proves. Handmade in the designer’s New York studio, this special little number would be a welcome addition to my wardrobe. The plaited leather strap and horsehair details elevate this bag from ‘staple’ to ‘statement’ status.

Lizzy Disney – Envelope Bag – £199
The classic envelope shape is simple but stylish and this shade of red gives it a fresh twist. The fastenings are low-key and subtle, while the back pocket is a practical touch. The only downside is that I don’t think there’d be nearly enough room in there for all the junk I like to carry around with me day-to-day.

Pauric Sweeney are currently showcasing their collections at Paris Fashion Week and it’s easy to see why the chic Parisians would like this brand. The label is known for its luxurious skins, and this python clutch in a gorgeous, rich hue is just perfect for autumn. It can also double up as a shoulder bag by using the delicate strap.
It’s a shame that something this small can be this expensive… but I love it anyway. It’s minimalist chic at its finest and it swings open revealing a perfect little compartment for your evening essentials. In brown ostrich skin it’s neutral, and understated, but would still look fab against a little black dress.
Which one would you choose?
