The recent passing of my father was another reminder of the importance of family and community.

He loved talking with people, and exploring their interests, concerns and joys.

Everyone who talked with him came away listened to, understood, and very often motivated to be more caring and hard working in their own lives.

Here's a short poem I wrote, called Between:

"Our lives' best times, of how we're seen,
are joys and times we've shared between."

My Dad had a wonderful drawing hand, and used felt pens to celebrate many special occasions, as well as in his work as a designer.

My own artistry is centred around photography, so with the help of a special Comic Book filter from Filter Forge, I have reworked some of my favourite "togetherness" photos into simulations of my father's wonderful style.

I encourage you to explore your own relationships, and to value them even more.
